On the 8th of January 2026. The American Business Council Nigeria held a farewell event for the outgoing U.S. Ambassador, His Excellency Richard Mills jnr. The event was organised by the Secretariat in conjunction with the Economic and Political team, supported by the U.S Commercial Service at the American Guest Quarters. In attendance include the U.S. Consul General Rick Swart, Board Members of the Councils, CEOs, and C-Suite of U.S. companies. Highpoints include the remarks by the Ambassador, remarks by Board Member Adebisi A., Managing Director of Dow representing the leadership of the Council, gift- presentation by the Board members, and a special gift presentation by ExxonMobil.
