The American Business Council (ABC) hosted its 2026 Townhall Meeting on 22 January 2026 via Microsoft Teams.
The virtual session convened about 110 participants, including private sector leaders, policymakers, and key stakeholders. The virtual Townhall featured opening remarks by Mrs. Nneka Enwereji, President of the American Business Council, who outlined the objectives and strategic focus for 2026. Key sessions included a presentation on Nigeria’s Ease of Doing Business reforms by Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, Director-General of PEBEC, and insights from Executive Secretary of ABC, on private sector business sentiment and priorities. Remarks were delivered by Dr. Guevara Yao, Vice President, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, followed by an economic outlook for 2026 presented by Damilola Aloba, Partner at Ernst & Young, and a policy outlook by Hon. Chukwumeka Ujam, PhD, mni, Managing Partner at NINA JOJER.
