
On May, 7, 2025 the American Business Council Nigeria, in partnership with the Economic Section of the U.S. Embassy Hosted the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, and his team at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja. The session was attended by Economic Counselor Christine Harbaugh, Deputy Economic Counselor Joseph Giblin, and other Embassy officials.Themed around procurement reforms, transparency, and investment facilitation, the meeting served as a platform for robust public-private dialogue focused on strengthening Nigeria’s procurement systems and enhancing
investor confidence.
Dr. Adedokun shared key updates on ongoing reform efforts and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a transparent and accountable procurement process.
ABC member companies in attendance—included CHI Limited, Dun & Bradstreet, HP, and MEBS Global—actively participated in solution-oriented discussions aimed at creating a more conducive environment for investment.
