On April 3, 2025 The American Business Council Nigeria (ABC) paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, and his team in Abuja to explore avenues for enhancing U.S. private sector involvement in Nigeria’s industrial development. Led by Margaret Olele, CEO of ABC, the delegation included the Heads of the Council’s FMCG and ICT Committees. The discussions focused on fostering a more business-friendly environment and identifying strategic opportunities for partnership in support of Nigeria’s industrial growth agenda. Key highlights of the meeting included: – The need to fast-track Nigeria’s Industrial Plan through investment facilitation and technical collaboration. – Expressions of commitment from U.S. companies such as Coca-Cola to contribute to Nigeria’s industrial advancement and support policy advocacy that drives growth. – The role of U.S. tech companies like Microsoft and Cisco in supporting Nigeria’s industrial transformation through digital innovation, including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
