NADPA – RAPDP Conference and AGM

The American Business Council Nigeria Secretariat participated in the 8th Edition of the Network of African Data Protection Authorities (RAPDP) Conference and Annual General Meeting, held from May 6–8, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
Under the theme “Balancing Innovation in Africa: Data Protection and Privacy in Emerging Technologies,” the event brought together data protection authorities from across and beyond Africa, alongside policymakers, technology experts, and private sector stakeholders, to explore the future of digital governance on the continent.
Key sessions addressed issues such as AI and data protection, cross-border data flows, regulatory harmonization, and the private sector’s role in fostering trust in Africa’s digital ecosystem.
