Navigating Nigeria’s New Tax Era

Following the gazetting of Nigeria’s new tax laws and as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) develops guidelines and regulatory frameworks, the American Business Council Nigeria, in partnership with Deloitte, will host an exclusive interactive dialogue on Friday, 17 October 2025.

The session, titled “Navigating Nigeria’s New Tax Era: Strategic Readiness for 2026 and Beyond”, will feature key insights from Mr. Matthew Olusanya Gbonjubola, Coordinating Director of the Compliance & Enforcement Group at FIRS, alongside leading tax experts from Deloitte Nigeria.

This high-level dialogue is designed to help organisations:

  • Understand the implications of the new tax laws.
  • Prepare for reforms taking effect from 1 January 2026.
  • Explore strategic measures to strengthen business readiness for the evolving tax environment.
