On April 30, 2025, the U.S.-Africa Business Center of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the American Business Council Nigeria (ABC), hosted the Nigeria-U.S. Parliamentary Friendship Group during their official exchange visit to Washington, D.C.
The forum brought together over fifteen members of the Nigerian House of Representatives, led by the Chairman of the Nigeria-U.S. Parliamentary Committee, alongside the Chargé d’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in D.C. The dialogue focused on enhancing economic relations, strengthening legislative collaboration, and supporting U.S. businesses operating in Nigeria.
Kendra Gaither, President of the U.S.-Africa Business Center, and Sops Felix Ideriah, President of ABC, led discussions on legislative pathways to resolving investment challenges and the importance of public-private collaboration in driving trade, investment, and good governance.
This strategic engagement reaffirmed ABC’s commitment to fostering impactful U.S.-Nigeria partnerships and advancing mutual economic growth through sustained dialogue and cooperation.
